The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics hosts a Summer Math Institute for middle school math teachers, offering instructors the opportunity to enhance their mathematics knowledge and advance their instructional skills.  Many thanks to the Sarkeys Foundation for generously sponsoring this important professional development resources for the past several years!  OSSM faculty and distinguished guests conduct the Institute.  Activities include lectures, demonstrations, lab sessions, and field trips.  The Institute addresses topics relevant to middle school math curriculum as defined by the Common Core objectives and deals with enrichment topics such as contest math.  We invite you to be challenged, be inspired, and be better!

The Institute is held on the campus of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics in Oklahoma City.  Housing and meals are provided for teachers who wish to stay on campus.  Meals are also provided for commuters.  All teachers register Monday morning, June 6th.  Teachers staying in the dorm will move in Monday afternoon after the last session.  Monday through Thursday activities are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The Institute concludes early Friday afternoon.
